MINE LLC Announces 2009 Modern Energy Investor Forum

Posted on: Tuesday, 7 July 2009, 06:30 CDT

DENVER, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- MINE LLC today announced that its 2009 Modern Energy Investor Forum will take place September 9-12, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. Over the past three years, the Forum has firmly established itself as the foremost investor meeting in North America for this sector. The four-day event brings together innovative companies and prescreened investors and analysts from around the world. In addition to keynote speakers and seminar leaders, the by-invitation-only conference features one-on-one meetings between company top management and interested investors and analysts, and offers site tours.

Of these prearranged private meetings, Michele Ashby, founder and CEO of MINE LLC (www.minellc.com/) says, "MINE LLC has more than 2O years of success in bringing together company executives with major investors and analysts who can affect the company's financial status. Over these two decades, I have evolved into a sort of matchmaker. That is one of the strategies that make our Forum uniquely effective and financially successful for both parties."

In addition to private meetings, each of the 25 or so public and private companies that present will have approximately 20 minutes to tell their stories before an audience of institutional investors, buy- and sell-side fund managers, analysts and venture capitalists. These companies cover the spectrum of modern energy, including wind, solar, hydro, biofuels, biomass, geothermal, uranium/nuclear, lithium/batteries and other clean technologies.

This year's Forum will feature Dr. Bryan Willson, a professor at Colorado State University and head of its new Clean Energy Supercluster. He is also the innovative cofounder of Solix Biofuels, which is engaged in developing and commercializing sustainable algae-based biofuel technologies and products. Also speaking: Michael McGowan, whose firm, Daniel Capital Management, Ltd., focuses on developing renewable energy and natural research opportunities globally. Another popular feature of the Forum are site visits. This year's are to Western Lithium's mine in Humboldt County, Nevada and New Belgium Brewing Company's facilities in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Says Ashby: "With demand for clean energy expected to grow by 55% globally by 2030, the need for modern energy solutions has the attention of investors. Accordingly, the knowledge of what is available, how much it costs, what incentives are in place, the carbon impact and the sheer newness of the Modern Energy sector, are all reasons to offer and attend a comprehensive, strategically worthwhile meeting such as this."
