Public Employee Unions to Hold Rally; TWU Local 234, AFSCME District Councils 33 and 47 and SEIU Local 32 BJ to Rally for Fair Contracts

PHILADELPHIA, July 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Members of four of the largest public employee unions in the City will hold another Public Employee Solidarity rally today, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot behind Transport Workers Union Local 234 at 500 South Second Street.
This rally is a follow up to the rally held on June 18th and comes at a time when the National Conference of State Legislatures is meeting in Philadelphia, contracts between the City of Philadelphia and its four public sector unions are unresolved and the contract between SEPTA and TWU Local 234 has been stalled since March 15th.
