hardware industry comes mostly from the active second-hand housing
transactions rather than the increase in housing prices. If housing prices
continue to rise which eventually exceeds that of the affordability of the
general public, the market may start to collapse which in turn affect the
sales of home hardware. It is therefore anticipated that the current domestic
demand for metals can be sustained in the short-run.
Over the first half of 2009, although the shadow of the financial crisis
did not entirely go away, opportunities for the hardware industry is still on
its way.
