Trina Solar Announces Pricing of Follow-on Public Offering of 4,500,000 American Depositary Shares

CHANGZHOU, China, July 29 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) ("Trina Solar" or the "Company"), a leading integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of photovoltaic, or PV, modules, announced today that its follow-on public offering of 4,500,000 American depositary shares, or ADSs, each representing 100 ordinary shares of the Company, was priced at $28.75 per ADS. Trina Solar has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 675,000 ADSs.

Trina Solar intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to repurchase up to $30 million of its 4.00% convertible senior notes due 2013 and to fund facilities expansion and other general corporate purposes. The Company's management will retain broad discretion over the use of proceeds, and the Company may ultimately use the proceeds for different purposes.

Goldman Sachs (Asia) L.L.C. and Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC are joint bookrunners for the offering, and Piper Jaffray & Co is a co-manager for the offering.

This offering is being made under Trina Solar's "automatic shelf" registration statement on Form F-3 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 27, 2009.
