Binary Group Hits Ground Running With Army Program Management Support Services Contract

August 4, 2009

Small company wins big with the PEO EIS PMSS2 contract award

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ –The Army’s Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) awarded Binary Group the Program Management Support Services 2 (PMSS2) contract vehicle. Binary is among five contract awardees and is one of only two small business reserve awardees. The contract vehicle provides a venue to compete for task orders among the winning teams. The ceiling value for the PMSS2 contract is approximately $478.6 million over five years.

The PMSS2 contract provides the Office of the Army Chief Information Officer/G-6 (CIO/G-6), the PEO EIS headquarters, directorates, and program, project, and product offices the full range of IT-related program management support services, including advisory and consulting services. These services will support various missions of command, control, and communications activities and the Army’s transformation to state-of-the-art technology with a new modular “Future Force.”

Lisa Hugo, Binary Group’s PMSS2 Program Manager, is aggressively engaging her team and pursuing task order leads. Steve Siegmund, a veteran within the CIO/G6 community as a policy subject matter expert, is second in charge for Binary’s PMSS2 program.

As prime contractor, Binary Group leads a consortium of the industry’s best small and large businesses with core customer experience and specialized IT program management capabilities with the ability to deliver additional PEO EIS continuity, capacity, reach-back capability, and worldwide presence. Team Binary has proven experience and leadership in providing innovative technologies and solutions for mission-critical national security programs supporting the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.

Binary Group is no newcomer to the Army — experience ranges from the Army program management support and advisory service contracts for the CIO/G-6 to the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) program. “Although Binary is the smallest company of the five awardees, I believe we have the best advantage because we know the culture and inner-workings of PEO EIS and CIO/G-6. We have built a creditable team and are ready to deliver,” said CEO Rose Wang.

Team Binary will have a prevailing presence at the LandWarNet Conference in Fort Lauderdale, FL August 16-20.
