China's Foreign Trade Still Ballooning

China's foreign trade grew 23.2 percent in the first half of this year to $645 billion, the government said Wednesday.
Exports from China grew to $342.3 billion in the first half of this year, a 32.7-percent rise over the previous year, said Xinhua, one of the government's state-owned media companies.
Imports to China reached $302.7 billion in this period, a year-on-year rise of 14 percent.
China's General Administration of Customs said the European Union remains its biggest trading partner, as the EU's bilateral trade volume with China growing some 23.6 percent to $100.1 billion in the first half of the year.
The United States and Japan have China trade volumes of $96.3 billion and $86.5 billion, respectively.
