Polaris Side-by-Side vehicles recalled
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Polaris Side-by-Side recreational vehicles due to a fire hazard.
An electrical short in the 2009 Polaris Ranger
6×6 Side-by-Side vehicles can pose a fire hazard, the commission said in a statement.
About 3,800 vehicles were sold nationwide by Polaris dealers from December 2008 through July 2009 for about $11,500 each.
The recall involves six models of Ranger recreational vehicles.
Consumers were advised to stop using the vehicles and contact a Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair.
