Avjet Welcomes Home Euna Lee and Laura Ling
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ — Avjet Corporation helped welcome home journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling, former President Bill Clinton and staff from North Korea at Shangri-La’s Hangar 25, in Burbank, California earlier this morning.
Avjet, a worldwide private aviation company, provided their services to help bring Lee and Ling home swiftly and safely, all through private donations. Avjet provided the flight crews and ground support for the trip, to and from North Korea, with a refuel and crew change in Japan. Through the efforts of Avjet, the Federal Aviation Administration and other government agencies, the unprecedented trip was coordinated in just a few hours.
The Avjet flight crew consisted of Dale Wheeler, Chief Pilot; John Scheenstra, Lead Captain; Christopher Quick, Boeing Business Jet Captain; Marc Cohen, Boeing Business Jet Captain and attendants Rebeca Ramos and Jamie Weisman.
