LAS VEGAS, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Sky, a 300-seat Philippines based call center, is pleased to announce its initiative to plant 1 tree for every call center seat filled over the next year. Partnering with Eco-Libris, a green business that works to balance out the paper used for books by planting trees, Global Sky is expecting to plant more than 1,000 trees by the end of 2010.
The initiative with Eco-Libris is a continuation of Global Sky's green initiative which features a 10% price discount for all clients who are undertaking similar environmentally focused efforts.
"Our partnership with Eco-Libris gives us an impactful way to contribute to a healthier environment," says James Stinson, Global Sky's CEO. "Because our program is tied to the number of seats we sell, this also gives our customers a chance to contribute."
Global Sky plans to make all its customers and prospective customers aware of the promotion via email and through their corporate website. No paper communication will be used to launch this initiative.
"We are very happy to collaborate with Global Sky, a socially-responsible company that is committed to making business more sustainable," says Raz Godelnik, CEO of Eco-Libris. "We hope that this partnership will encourage other businesses to follow suit Global Sky's efforts to support the environment while adding a 'green' layer to their core business strategy."
