J.S. Vig Construction Company Announces Opening of Project Green Institute

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Southeast Michigan-based J.S. Vig Construction, a full-service general contractor and construction management company, announced today the opening of the Project Green Institute in Ann Arbor, Mich. J.S. Vig CEO Joseph Vig made the announcement.

A division of J.S. Vig, Project Green is focused on the development and implementation of best practices in energy efficiency, water efficiency and sustainable commercial construction. The Project Green Institute will house multiple LEED accredited professionals and serve as an educational resource center for parties interested in green construction.

The Project Green Institute will offer the following services:

  • Evaluation and auditing of existing buildings and future projects;
  • Existing building retrofits;
  • Online materials and data related to "best practices" in sustainability; and
  • Classroom-style training on the environmental and economic benefits of green construction.
