Sterling Publishing cloth books recalled

Posted on: Friday, 21 August 2009, 13:36 CDT

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Sterling Publishing cloth books due to a strangulation hazard.

The eebee's Have a Ball Adventures Cloth Books include a string attached to a ball that could pose a risk of strangulation, the commission said.

About 15,000 books were imported from China by Sterling Publishing Co. Inc. of New York and sold nationwide June 2008 and June 2009 for about $15.

The recall involves books with ISBN No. 13:978-1-4027-5771-6.

Consumers were advised to take the books away from children and return them to the retailer for a refund.

Consumers can call 800-367-9692 for information.
