Wyle Announces Team to Pursue Network Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) Telephony Products and Solutions Contract

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyle has put together a world class information technology services team to pursue the Telephony Products and Solutions component of the U.S. Air Force's Network Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) contract expected to be awarded in the second quarter of 2010. The total value of NETCENTS-2 is $19 billion over a seven-year period.

NETCENTS-2 consists a collection of acquisitions that will replace the current NETCENTS contract vehicle with eight separate indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts. The Telephony Products and Solutions component is a $1.08 billion IDIQ contract, again with the expectation that multiple prime contractors will be selected.

Wyle has assembled a team of diverse companies whose experience includes delivering services today under NETCENTS and brings additional qualifications that will enhance the service delivery across all geographic locations that cover the full breadth of functional requirements.

Highlights of the component requirements include: Provide full range of telephony products and solutions; perform infrastructure requirements, analysis, and design, installation, maintenance and operations; perform physical plant installation and maintenance services; provide voice switching systems solutions and support services; provide communications support services (e.g. satellite, micro-wave, high frequency, etc.); perform upgrade services (standard telephony, VoIP, etc.); provide continuity of operations solutions and support services; and provide services at all U.S. Air Force facilities worldwide.
