International Safety Experts From the Leading Oil and Gas Companies to Gather for Process Safety in Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals 2009

The conference is chaired by Colin Dyer, Asset Integrity & Process Safety Manager at Shell EPM. He reflected on the importance of Process Safety: "In recent years the focus of oil & gas operators has shifted to proactive management of asset integrity. Reasons for this interest in Asset Integrity Management are much more complex facilities, maturing facilities, tighter statutory regulations and changing stakeholder expectations. Process safety is the result of prudent safety systems design and good maintenance / reliability management. Often, it correlates with uptime, production and plant profitability. Therefore managing process safety is one of the major challenges for oil & gas projects and operating companies in the current environment."

Hany Abdel Aziz, HSE Expert General Manager at Rashid Petroleum company is presenting on, "Utilizing Process Hazard Review as a tool to develop an effective Emergency Management & Response Plan" on Tuesday 17th November. He said:
