CHICAGO, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- If you're willing to be part of the solution to air pollution, this could be your lucky month. A unique program sponsored by Partners for Clean Air and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency wraps up this week. Later this month, one lucky individual will win a 2010 Toyota Prius, simply for agreeing to help reduce air pollution in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Known as the Green Pays on Green Days giveaway, this program encourages local residents to join the fight against air pollution. In exchange for agreeing to take a "green action," participants are entered for a chance to win the Prius. So far this summer, 50 local residents have been selected as finalists for the grand prize drawing.
To enter Green Pays on Green Days, visit www.greenpays.org. Complete the online form, pick something you can to do reduce air pollution, and you'll be entered for a chance to win the Prius, which is donated by Your Chicagoland Toyota Dealers. You can enter online once a day until September 12.
The program is part of a public awareness campaign about improving air quality in the Chicago metropolitan area. "Everyone can play a role in reducing air pollution in our communities. Little changes in behavior go a long way towards improving air quality and protecting our children," said Douglas Scott, Director of the Illinois EPA.
Partners for Clean Air is a coalition committed to improving air quality through voluntary actions. For more information about Green Pays on Green Days and Partners for Clean Air, visit www.greenpays.org and www.cleantheair.org.
