Wal-Mart starts drug delivery program
U.S. retail giant Wal-Mart said it would extend its affordable prescription drug program with free mailing of inexpensive drugs.
In a statement released Tuesday, the company said it would allow U.S. citizens to order 90-day supplies of about 300 generic prescription drugs for $10. The mail service was, essentially, free, the company said.
The service comes with
no gimmicks, no memberships and no enrollment fees, Wal-Mart said.
Orders can be made over the Internet or by calling 1-800-2REFILL.
Unfortunately we’ve found there are still too many patients unable to take advantage of our low prices because they are home-bound or live too far from a Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club pharmacy, Dr. John Agwunobi, president of Wal-Mart’s health and wellness division, said.
