Trudeau garlic press recalled
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Trudeau Corp. garlic press-slicers due to a laceration hazard.
About 22,000 Trudeau Garlic Duo Slicers were imported from China by the Canadian company and sold for about $20, the commission said.
The unit’s slicer blades can break during use, presenting a risk of laceration.
The model numbers involved in the recall are 998009, 998010 and 998010CB. These numbers are printed on the packaging, but not on the product.
The garlic presses have
Trudeau printed on the side.
Consumers were advised to stop using the Garlic Duo and contact Trudeau for a free replacement.
