Smartcool generates significant energy savings for LSG Sky Chefs at Frankfurt Airport

VANCOUVER, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV: SSC) is pleased to announce it has completed the assessment phase of the Company's proprietary Energy Savings Module(TM) with LSG Sky Chefs, the industry leading in-flight service provider based in Frankfurt, Germany.

"We have installed the ESM(TM) on the remaining refrigeration plant in the international facility at Frankfurt Airport and are surveying other sites in Germany. The assessment protocol required Smartcool to install its proprietary ESM(TM) technology on one of the existing refrigeration systems in the international customer service centre located in Frankfurt. The assessment phase consisted of a three month operational comparison of the ESM(TM) data with 3 years of comparative data and comparison to a similar refrigeration system in the same location. The assessment data indicated electrical savings of 12% resulting in an 18 month return on investment.
