Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Gregory J. Casas, John S. 'Chip' Rainey and Reed D. Rubinstein Speak at Carbon Capture and Storage World Summit

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Gregory J. Casas, John S. "Chip" Rainey and Reed D. Rubinstein, shareholders in the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, all gave presentations at the Carbon Capture and Storage World Summit. The event, held September 22-24, brought together representatives from energy companies, financial institutions, and governmental and regulatory bodies to discuss the practical, technical and economic issues surrounding carbon capture and storage (CCS).
The Greenberg Traurig attorneys covered a range of legal and business issues for CCS stakeholders. Casas provided summit attendees with an "Intro To the Business of Carbon Capture," as well as an overview of "The Economic Aspect of CCS." Rubinstein and Rainey co-presented an overview of "Regulatory Aspects" of carbon capture. Rainey also spoke on issues involved in "Transportation and Storage."
Casas, resident in Houston, focuses his practice on antitrust, complex business litigation, and energy and natural resources law. He received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his B.A. from Boston University.
Rainey, resident in Austin, devotes much of his practice to advising clients in the banking and technology sectors. He received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and his B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.
Rubinstein, resident in Washington, D.C., focuses his practice on environmental and administrative law, litigation, and corporate and real estate work. He received his J.D., M.A. and A.B. from the University of Michigan.
