Quest commercial juice dispensers recalled
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Thursday announced a voluntary recall of Quest Commercial Juice Dispensers due to a fire hazard.
Fraying wires in the wiring harness can cause the transformer to overheat. The manufacturer has received one report of a smoldering transformer, the commission said in a statement.
About 14,000 dispensers were made by IMI Cornelius of Osseo, Minn. They were sold nationwide from February 2001 through August 2006 for about $2,000 for the two-dispenser models and about $3,200 for the four-dispenser models.
Consumers were advised to unplug the dispensers, open the door and inspect the wire harness in the bottom left corner of the cabinet. If wires look cracked or worn, consumers should keep the unit unplugged and contact IMI Cornelius for a free repair kit.
Consumers can call 800-344-3801 for information.
