Piedmont Natural Gas to Offer Warranty Services to Customers

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Piedmont Natural Gas (NYSE: PNY) today announced its plans to begin offering warranty services to residential customers throughout its North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee service areas. Initially, Piedmont will offer customers two warranty services: a home natural gas piping warranty service and a water heater repair and replacement warranty service, each for a flat monthly fee. Service work will be provided through a preferred network of contractors in association with Home Service, a leading national provider of home repair solutions. Piedmont's new warranty service options will be available to customers beginning in January, 2010. Additional information regarding the new warranty service options will soon be available on Piedmont's website, www.piedmontng.com.
