Crude oil prices swing higher
Crude oil prices pulled above $67 per barrel Wednesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange in advance of a weekly inventory report.
The Energy Information Administration’s weekly report on U.S. stockpiles is due Wednesday.
Overnight, light, sweet crude gained 59 cents to $67.30 per barrel. Heating oil prices added 0.0066 cents to $1.7072 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline prices rose 0.0229 cents to $1.651 per gallon. Natural gas prices shed 0.139 cents to $4.736 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for unleaded gasoline was $2.479 per gallon Wednesday, down from Tuesday’s $1.487, AAA said.
