Wounded Warrior Needs Your Support

SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Operation Homefront needs your help to support a wounded warrior in need in the Louisville, Kentucky area.

This Army Reserve soldier was deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq during his 10-year Army career. While deployed he suffered gunshot wounds, hearing loss, knee problems and post traumatic stress disorder. This soldier is receiving 40-percent disability from Veterans Affairs, which brings in $734 per month in income.

This soldier and his wife have four children, ages 2, 4, 8 and 9. They were evicted from their home in June and are now homeless and staying with friends as they can. They were recently approved for Section 8 housing and presently are looking for their next home. The family does not have the funds to pay the required deposits for their new home.

In addition, the family had another child in August; the baby passed away in September due to an infection. During the final months of the pregnancy, the spouse was on bed rest and unable to find a job to supplement the family’s income.

Operation Homefront is requesting your help in supporting this family and their food and financial needs. We are accepting cash donations, as well as donations of gift cards to support this family.
