Due to the ongoing drought in the state, water wholesalers have been ordered to cut their water allocations throughout the entire Southern California area.
As a result, California American Water’s water allocation has been significantly reduced and will have to enact mandatory water conservation measures in order to stay within its new allocated supply level. The usage restrictions, which may be administered in incrementally restrictive stages, will be clearly explained during the meetings.
In addition, all customers in the Los Angeles county service district will be notified once mandatory conservation takes effect and will be informed of exactly what to expect and what their responsibilities are during this phase.
Information on conservation rebates for toilets and washing machines, free conservation kits with water saving devices including low flow showerheads and garden hose nozzles will be available at each meeting.
