Marcal Small Steps(TM) ‘Do Good’ Attitude Goes Beyond Environmental Issues

In an effort to inspire charity and environmental awareness, Marcal Manufacturing, LLC has donated an entire truck load of their Small Steps(TM) paper products, including bath tissue, facial tissue and paper towels, to the Union Gospel Mission and Central Dallas Ministries.

The Marcal Small Steps(TM) paper products will be appreciated at these two establishments as the fall season approaches. “With the hard times this country has been facing, our client capacity is full. We get over 565 clients per day who are in need of food and paper products. Every day we get calls asking for help from folks who are on the brink of being homeless. We know that if their financial situation is so tight that they cannot even afford food, they certainly cannot afford paper products. This donation has been a major help,” said Bill Thompson, the executive director for the Union Gospel Mission. “This donation of paper goods is going to free up funds for more food and other necessity our clients have.” While most people view these products as an everyday necessity at their home, office, and at work, clients of the Union Gospel Mission and Central Dallas Ministries who are seeking food, shelter, recovery and care, view them as an invaluable luxury that is often not available to them as a result of the tough economic times we are in.
