A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd. to Attend the 2009 China Wind Power Conference on October 21st to 23rd, 2009, in Beijing

SHENYANG, China, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ — A-Power Energy
Generation Systems, Ltd. (Nasdaq: APWR) (“A-Power” or “the Company”), a
leading provider of distributed power generation systems in China and a
fast-growing manufacturer of wind turbines, today announced it will attend the
2009 China Wind Power Conference on October 21st to 23rd, 2009 at the New
China International Exhibition Center, Tianzhu Airport Industrial Zone, Shunyi
District of Beijing.

The Global Wind Energy Council, Chinese Renewable Energy Industries
Association and Chinese Wind Energy Association will host the Conference,
which will be attended by hundreds of wind power industry suppliers covering
the entire supply chain.

During the Conference, Mr. Jinxiang Lu, A-Power’s Chairman and CEO, and Mr.

John Lin, its COO and director, will be available to meet with investors and
potential customers at booth 1A03.
