United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Equips Command and Control Center With ClearCube Technology's Fiber Optic Connected Blade Workstations and User Ports.

Posted on: Monday, 19 October 2009, 09:13 CDT

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearCube Technology, the leader in centralized and virtual computing, announced today that USNORTHCOM selected ClearCube Technology's fiber optic connected blade workstations and user ports for deployment in a command and control center.

ClearCube's centralized computing solution eliminates many of the security risks that manifest with box PCs at the desk. ClearCube blade workstations are located in secure data centers versus on the desktop and therefore are exponentially more secure than traditional desktop PCs. Also, ClearCube blade workstations have additional physical security called mass storage lockout that controls the end-point and prevents removable media from being connected. When you add the security benefits of computing over fiber optic networks you mitigate additional risks.

"Secure computing has always been an inherent benefit of our model for delivering high performance computing for command and control centers," said Randy Printz, CEO of ClearCube. "We're excited to continue to build our relationship with Northcom and utilize their requirements as a catalyst for driving additional secure computing innovation."
