MEGTEC Systems Announces Plans for Michigan Regional Service Center to Support Lithium-Ion Battery Market

DE PERE, Wis., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- MEGTEC Systems Inc. announced today that they plan to open a regional service center in Michigan to support their customers in the lithium-ion battery manufacturing market. The center will provide services and parts for MEGTEC's coating and drying equipment, as well as their NMP and other solvent recovery systems.
Gerald Norz, Vice President of MEGTEC's global service organization emphasized MEGTEC's commitment to the lithium-ion battery market stating, "By opening the regional center in Michigan, we will be able to support our customers by offering quick response of service representatives, parts shipments and preventive maintenance services. The need for battery manufacturers to operate at peak efficiency with zero downtime is a critical factor in our decision to locate in the area." The regional center will be supported by MEGTEC's engineering and service staff at its 245,000 square foot manufacturing facility in De Pere, Wisconsin. MEGTEC provides 24-hour support from this facility. The opening of the Michigan center adds to MEGTEC's current regional service centers in California, Massachusetts, Maryland, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Ontario.
MEGTEC Systems is a North American-based global turnkey supplier of advanced coating and drying systems for applications such as battery electrodes, photovoltaic cells, battery separators, solar films, membranes, clean room processes, and many more.
MEGTEC also offers pilot line testing located in the De Pere, Wisconsin, world headquarters and has also developed a simple, easy-to-use laboratory coating line designed for short production runs for companies who are involved in the development and testing of lithium-ion battery and other advanced battery coating formulations.
MEGTEC also provides proprietary systems for high efficiency removal, recovery and purification of N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP) from coating line exhaust air streams in the lithium-ion battery manufacturing process.
