DTE Energy Launches Twitter Site

DETROIT, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy is now on Twitter. The company launched its site this week to provide a wide-range of information and real-time news updates to its residential and business customers. DTE Energy's page is available at twitter.com/DTE_Energy.
Twitter is an online service that allows users to send brief messages of up to 140 characters, known as "tweets," to interested readers known as "followers." Followers receive tweets on their Twitter pages from authors to whom they subscribe. Those interested can sign up for a Twitter account at Twitter.com.
"We think Twitter is an excellent social media tool to provide information that will help our customers make wise energy-related decisions and learn about the programs and services we offer to make their lives easier," said Lorie Kessler, DTE Energy's director of External Communications.
