WHY: Nearly 55 million people in the United States spend their time in school buildings, approximately half of which have been identified as having poor indoor air quality. Additionally, children spend more than 85 percent of their time indoors where they breathe air that is 2 to 5 times more polluted than outside air, being exposed to harmful chemicals and pollutants. Providing healthy and high-performance homes and learning environments through good indoor air quality is critical for the well-being of our children.
WHAT ELSE: Meet noted indoor air quality expert Dr. Marilyn Black who can address the scientific advances in improved indoor air quality and GEI's Henning Bloech, who can discuss the organization's growth in an era of close attention to better indoor air quality because of its health and productivity benefits.

Posted by Martin on 11/06/2009, 05:28 It takes a lot more than just reducing off-gassing to make a healthy nursery. My children put things in their mouth too. Even if Greenguard was not tied to just one for profit testing business owned by Dr. Black, this would still seem suspicous to me. |
