GEI Consultants Expands in New York and New Jersey

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ – GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation’s leading integrated geotechnical, environmental, water resources and ecological science and engineering firms, announced today that it has relocated its southern New Jersey office, doubled the size of its Montclair and Huntington Station, Long Island facilities, and added 17 staff at the locations.

To better support southern New Jersey and metropolitan Philadelphia, GEI has moved its office from Pennsauken, New Jersey to a larger facility at 18000 Horizon Way, Suite 200 in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. The Mount Laurel office is led by Christopher Dailey, MBA, P.E., LSRP.

Dennis Unites, P.G., LEP, a senior vice president and senior principal at GEI, has transferred from GEI’s Glastonbury, Connecticut office to the new Mount Laurel facility. Mr. Unites is one of the world’s leading authorities in the field of former manufactured gas plant (MGP) site investigation and remediation strategies.

Also relocating to the new Mount Laurel office is Susan Boyle who joined the firm in 2008 after a 25-year career in New Jersey state government. Ms. Boyle provides training and technical assistance on brownfields strategy and policy to municipalities through the Technical Assistance for Brownfields (TAB) Program funded by a United States EPA grant to the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She was recently elected to the 2009/2010 Board of Directors for the NYC Partnership of Brownfield Practitioners and serves as the interim president of the New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association.

In addition, GEI is pleased to announce that Barry Raus, MBA, P.G. has joined GEI at the Mount Laurel location. Mr. Raus is a professional geologist who has worked on numerous sites, conducting remedial investigations and implementing remedial actions. Prior to joining GEI, Mr. Raus worked for Jacques Whitford in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania where he served as the geoscience group leader and as a client program manager. Mr. Raus continues to serve as a member of a technical advisory committee for a southern New Jersey utility.

Serving clients in New Jersey and metropolitan New York, GEI’s Montclair office is led by Dave Work, P.E., who joined the firm in 2009. This office has recently added five new staff members. Sean DiBartolo, a geotechnical project manager formerly located at GEI’s Boston headquarters has transferred to Montclair to provide tri-state area clients with local geotechnical and integrated geo-environmental investigations. Mr. DiBartolo’s experience includes subsurface investigations, geotechnical instrumentation, subsurface data management and visualization, construction specifications, monitoring construction and blast vibrations, and laboratory testing of soil and bedrock.

The firm’s Long Island, New York office recently doubled its physical space and added six new staff supporting clients in metropolitan New York and on Long Island. Located in Huntington Station, the Long Island office is led by Errol Kitt, an environmental engineer whose diverse background includes over 25 years of experience managing and directing environmental projects in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Additionally, Albert Jaroszewski joined the firm at this location with over 25 years of experience in the environmental field as a hydrogeologist and project manager. Mr. Jaroszewski’s expertise includes support on regulatory compliance, brownfields, environmental assessments, investigations, remediation and project monitoring.
