CHICAGO, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — More than two thousand Farm Bureau leaders and staff will attend the 2009 Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting December 5-8 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago.

The four-day meeting is an excellent opportunity to speak with actual farmers from across Illinois on a variety of issues. Among them:

  • How Illinois farmers are coping with the latest harvest since 1967. Seventy-two percent of the state’s corn crop is harvested as of this week. Normally, harvest of corn and soybeans is completed well before Thanksgiving.
  • What farmers’ planting intentions are for 2010, and the economic outlook for next spring.

IFB President Philip Nelson will hold a news conference in the Gold Coast Room, located on the Bronze level of the West Tower of the Hyatt Regency at 7:15 a.m. Monday, December 7.

The IFB Newsroom will be located in Gold Coast Room of the Hyatt Regency. The newsroom will be open Saturday-Tuesday. Our direct phone number during the meeting will be 312-239-4823.

You can contact Lori Laughlin, Director of Issues Management, through Dec. 4 at our regular number: 309-557-3162.
