Vintage Weekend at Ocean Reef Club December 3-6 2009

KEY LARGO, Fla., Dec 2 /PRNewswire/ — The Ocean Reef Club hosts Vintage Weekend from December 3-6 this year. The four-day event features antique and classic planes, yachts and automobiles (four class winners from Pebble Beach and many more) from around the world, including:

Earl McMillan of McMillan Yachts in South Carolina will debut Freedom at Vintage Weekend. Freedom is a 104′ Mathis Trumpy built in 1926. Mr. McMillan says, “In terms of classic yacht shows, Vintage Weekend is one of the most important. We are really looking forward to being there with Freedom this year.” McMillan’s restoration of Freedom took 4.5 years.

Vintage Weekend’s established events include the Road Rally, Saturday’s Concourse D’Elegance, a fly-over at Buccaneer Island, celebratory Dinner Dance and much more. Ocean Reef Club member and coordinator of the automobile segment of Vintage Weekend, Ron Elenbaas explains, “It is a great weekend for us. It has something for everyone with the most admired classic conveyance assembled at this beautiful venue.” Mr. Elenbaas adds, “Vintage Weekend is a great time of camaraderie–there is a lot of laughter, new treasures getting discovered, and genuine appreciation of each other.”

Vintage Weekend is open to members and guests staying at the Inn, who are registered for full participation. The registration fee to attend all Vintage Weekend Events is $375 per person plus tax.
