SkyWest Airlines Brings Fantasy Flight to Colorado Springs Children
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. (Nasdaq: SKYW) will bring holiday dreams to life for more than 50 local children and their families with a Fantasy Flight to the “North Pole” on Saturday, December 12. SkyWest has brought this tradition to Colorado Springs children for the Junior League of Colorado Springs (JLCS) and Community Partnership for Child Development (CPCD) for three years.
These precious passengers will board SkyWest’s Bombardier-manufactured Canadair Regional Jet 700 (CRJ700) for a 30 minute Fantasy Flight from the Colorado Springs Airport to the “North Pole” (COS gate 15). Santa will be present with a gift for every child in attendance.
“North Pole” festivities include music, dancing, face painting, crafts, gifts from Santa and a hot meal for children and their families.
Children who will be aboard are enrolled in CPCD early childhood education programs. These children live below the poverty level, have an identified special need, or have a home situation that puts them at risk for school failure. For those children whose families struggle to meet their basic needs, this will truly be a holiday to remember.
Media are encouraged to attend this evening of adventure and delight. The children will begin check in at 5:00 p.m. at the United Airlines ticket counter. The Fantasy Flight will depart between 6:00 and 6:15 p.m.
