WORX Invites New Facebook Fans to Help Plant 30,000 Trees in 30 Days
CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 24 /PRNewswire/ — WORX(R) has a great proposition for folks who want to do something positive for the environment. How about planting a tree for free with just the click of a mouse?
WORX has announced its innovative Facebook Fan 30,000-Trees-in-30-Days campaign to celebrate Arbor Day, April 30, 2010, as well as the launch of its new customer-service-driven Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/worxyardtools). For the first 30,000 persons who become WORX Facebook Fans by April 30th, the company will make a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation to have a tree planted in their honor. Each tree will be planted in one of our nation’s forests.
What can one tree do? One tree can absorb more than a ton of carbon over its lifetime. A full-grown tree can lift as much as 100 gallons of water out of the ground and into the air in one day. And one mature tree can provide oxygen for up to four people in a day. Imagine all that 30,000 trees can do!
WORX Facebook Fans and friends will be able to give and receive direct feedback from the company. At any given time, the President/CEO, Vice President of Marketing, Head of Customer Service or even WORX celebrity spokesperson Robin Hartl will be logged on to answer questions and listen to users’ ideas.
“There are more than a million WORX customers out there, and we wanted to create a way for them to get questions answered quickly and share information with others who own or are considering buying a WORX product,” said Craig Taylor, Vice President of Marketing for WORX. “Facebook was a natural choice.”
Robin Hartl added: “I am so happy to see WORX on Facebook. Not only am I the spokesperson for the products but a big fan. I use these products myself and it makes my yard work much easier and quicker!”
