RES Americas Announces Resignation of President and CEO

BROOMFIELD, Colo., April 7 /PRNewswire/ — Today, the Board of Directors of Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas) announced the resignation of President and CEO, Craig Mataczynski. Mr. Mataczynski, citing a desire to pursue other opportunities in his professional career and a new chapter in his family life, leaves RES Americas after five years of aggressive company growth and successfully guiding the business into a national leader in the development and construction of renewable energy projects.

“RES Americas has grown significantly in the five years that Craig has been its Chief Executive,” said Ian Mays, CEO of RES Group, the parent company of RES Americas. “I would like to thank him for the hard work and leadership that he has provided in helping create the considerable success RES Americas is today, and also for his valuable contribution to the broader Group.”

“Until we finalise our plans over the coming weeks for a new Chief Executive to lead RES Americas through the next important stage of growth, Vic Fryling, the Company’s Chairman, will act as CEO, stepping back into the role that he held from 2003 – 2005 before Craig joined the business,” continued Dr. Mays.

Under the five year leadership of Mr. Mataczynski, RES Americas has developed and or constructed more than 3,200 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy and a current development pipeline of 12,500 MW.
