Rebecca Romijn Celebrates Fashionable New Huggies Brand Diaper

May 20, 2010

NEENAH, Wis., May 20 /PRNewswire/ — Today Huggies brand is bringing together Moms, Dads and their stylish babies in Union Square Park to help freshen up babies’ diaper wardrobe with the limited-edition Huggies brand Jeans Diaper. The brand has teamed up with celebrity Mom and fashion icon Rebecca Romijn to kick off the release of the denim-inspired diaper, designed for parents looking to provide a fashionable twist to their child’s wardrobe this summer.

Jeans: A Summer Fashion Staple

Jeans have always been a Mommy must-have, and now Huggies brand is making it possible for babies to steal the style. In fact, a recent Huggies brand survey showed 40 percent of Moms wear jeans the majority of the week and own between four to six pairs each. Denim isn’t just a fashion staple for Moms, as 57 percent of Moms surveyed purchased their child’s first pair of jeans within the baby’s first 6 months. To support this denim trend, Huggies brand is giving little ones everywhere a fun and fashionable way to express to themselves and their own personal style with the limited-edition Jeans Diaper.(1)

“I’m thrilled to partner with Huggies brand to help launch this stylish new diaper,” said Mom and actress Rebecca Romijn. “For years I modeled different styles of jeans and now that I’m a Mom, jeans continue to be a staple in my wardrobe that I can dress up and down. I love that Huggies brand is making a fashion-forward diaper, and I can’t wait to share my passion for denim with my little girls!”

Jeans on the Catwalk

Rebecca Romijn, mom to 16-month old twins, kicks off the fashion show event in Union Square Park by introducing the new Jeans Diaper. New York City’s trendiest Moms and babies will showcase their “denim style” by walking the runway in the Jeans Diaper and corresponding fashion accessories. Following the live fashion show, the catwalk will transform into an interactive green screen where babies can strike a pose and have their photograph taken for a mock magazine photo shoot. Before leaving, all parents are encouraged to pick up free Huggies brand Jeans Diaper samples, coupons and more.

“Huggies is excited to introduce the first-ever fashion-focused Jeans Diaper,” said Stu Schneider, Senior Director of Huggies brand. “Just in time for warmer weather, we wanted to offer parents this fun and stylish blue denim design and provide little ones everywhere with a trendy way to enjoy the summer style staple.”
