(NYSE: HME) today announced the opening of the first phase of its newest apartment community, The Courts at Huntington Station, located in Alexandria, Virginia. Featuring 202 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for rent, The Courts occupies a prime location just steps from the Huntington Metro Station with easy access to the Capital Beltway and entire D.C. Residents may also take advantage of healthy lifestyle amenities like the outdoor swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga/Pilates/cycling studio.

“We strive to promote green living as it is relevant not only to the environment but the overall well-being of our residents. Home Properties is proud to add The Courts to our other 22 apartment communities in the D.C. region,” commented Hague.

Phase two of The Courts is currently under construction and is slated to open in May 2011, adding another 219 apartments to the community. To date, 82 apartments have been leased at The Courts. For leasing and other information, please visit courtsathuntington.com.
