SolarCar Nominated for the EUROPEAN ALUMINIUM AWARD 2010

SolarCar announced today their nomination for the prestigious European
Aluminum Award 2010 Industrial Design & Engineering. The Aluminum Award is
granted by the European Aluminum Award group in recognition of highly
innovative applications of aluminum in a new product or project.

“Winning a prestigious prize such as this EUROPEAN ALUMINUM AWARD not

European Aluminum Award.

The EUROPEAN ALUMINUM AWARD is an initiative of the Dutch Aluminum Centre
and supported by the European Aluminum Association (EAA), the GDA – the
German Aluminum Association – and ALUMINUM 2010. The EUROPEAN ALUMINUM AWARD
is the world’s largest Trade Show & Conference in the area of aluminum. The
leading aluminum companies ALCOA, ALERIS, HYDRO and RIO TINTO ALCAN are the
main sponsors of the competition.

The internationally renowned EUROPEAN ALUMINUM AWARD will be distributed
at a festive gala during the ALUMINUM 2010, 8th World Trade Fair &
Conference, which is held September 14th – 16th at the Messe-Essen in
Germany. The competition is held every two years, and all nominated entries
will be on display during the fair. Some 18.000 visitors and 900 exhibiting
companies are expected from more than 40 countries, and will this year have a
look at the product of SolarCar: A sophisticated, round, solar power roof for
electric vehicles. Its design is unique and integrates a special transparent
solar panel.
