Dorel Juvenile Group Appoints Julie Vallese Vice President of Public Affairs and Strategic Communications

COLUMBUS, Ind., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ — Julie Vallese has been appointed to the newly created role of Vice President of Public Affairs and Strategic Communications for Dorel Juvenile Group USA, a division of Dorel Industries Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A).

A veteran consumer product safety advocate, Vallese was Director of Public Affairs for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) from 2005-2009. Among her responsibilities, she served as CPSC’s senior spokesperson and principal media advisor. Prior to that, as correspondent and editor for Cable News Network (CNN) for more than a decade, Vallese helped educate consumers about news related to the automotive industry, product safety, traffic safety and child safety, among other topics. During her tenure at CNN, Vallese was recognized for her contributions to CNN’s award-winning coverage of 9/11 and the 2000 election.
