Eco-City is a concept developed by UNESCO in the 1970s, embodying the
notion that urban development should focus on ecological sustainability by
reducing energy requirements and waste output. In pursuit of a composite
eco-system, the Eco-City concept intends to lead to reduced energy consumption
and reduced impact on the natural environment.

China is actively promoting the concept of the Eco-City and has instituted
various policies to further this goal. These policies are designed to
encourage creative ecological solutions that result, in part, in economic
development, which development, in turn, further increases domestic demand for
environmental solutions.

Approximately 140 companies from around the world are expected to
participate, including Veolia, Honeywell, Siemens, GE and Motimo. Government
officials, experts and company representatives are also expected to attend.

Tri-Tech will showcase its proprietary water resource management products,
total solutions, and its leading edge water and wastewater treatment
engineering and technologies at its 54-square meter booth in the “Water
Resources Usage and Treatment” exhibition hall.

Organized by the Tianjin Binhai New Area People’s Government, the
exhibition is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural
Development of the People’s Republic of China, the National Development and
Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China, the Tianjin Municipal
People’s Government and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges.

Tri-Tech CEO Mr. Warren Zhao said, “The Binhai Forum and Exhibition gives
us the opportunity to exhibit our products, technologies and development
concepts to key decision-makers and other interested parties. This is our
first participation in a large-scale regional exhibition and forum since our
Nasdaq listing a year ago.

“We believe this event will lead to further adoption of
environmentally-friendly construction concepts for metropolitan Beijing,
Tianjin and Hebei. We expect to learn from the achievements and experiences of
other domestic and international eco-city participants in the areas of
implementing effective eco-water management and water re-use and recycling
technologies to bring about ecological improvements in urban centers.” For
