Vanderbilt Professor Larry Van Horn, a leading expert and researcher on healthcare management and economics, is the featured speaker on an upcoming QHR Learning Institute Webinar titled “Will Health Reform Bankrupt America?” The free event will be held at 2 p.m. CST on January 20, and look at the true cost of health reform on our nation’s economy and our nation’s hospitals.
“Research suggests that the majority of Americans don’t fully understand the financial implications of health reform, so this Webinar will delve deeply into the numbers behind the headlines and pay particular attention to the risks associated with a potential downgrade of our nation’s credit rating,” says Bob Wiemer, vice president of the QHR Learning Institute. “Also of significance: the implications of health reform on our nation’s hospitals. Hospital leaders from the C-suite to the board room must prepare now for reduced reimbursements and a shifting payor mix. Mr. Van Horn will address these subjects as well.”
