RMF Engineering Moves to Raleigh, NC
Former Durham Office Relocates to Raleigh to Better Assist in RMF’s Advancements
BALTIMORE, April 5, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — RMF Engineering announced today the relocation of its Durham, NC office, to Raleigh, NC, effective Friday, April 1, a move that will support the firm’s continued growth. RMF has signed a lease for class A office space, located in the Brier Creek Community, part of American Asset Corporation’s mixed-use development, which includes retail, commercial and residential projects strategically positioned in one of the Triangle’s fastest growing submarkets. The move to a new, larger office comes during a period of significant growth for RMF.
“RMF’s move is occurring at an opportune time, as we’ve recently received award recognition for our work at Duke University and have expanded to seven offices, housing a new office in Columbus, Ohio,” said Duane Pinnix, president and CEO of RMF. “All of these progressions provide new opportunities for growth and help RMF to continue maintaining the long-lasting, quality relationships with clients for which we are known.”
Presently, there are 50 people in the new Raleigh office, comprising four teams: buildings, focusing on engineering systems; infrastructure, working with district energy systems; civil structural, concentrating on utility distribution systems; and building commissioning. The teams include four partners, as well as project managers, engineers, designers, and support staff. The new office location will allow the employee base to expand by 30% in the near term.
The new office space is itself iconic of RMF’s incomparable commitment to providing sustainable, efficient energy solutions. With a scheme providing immense natural light, a LutronEcoSystem® lighting system to allow for individualized lighting control, and LED lighting fixtures for ultra-low energy usage, the new Raleigh office is a nexus point for the forward thinking ideas that RMF employees produce.
“Our new space is uniquely designed to be an inspired, collaborative environment in which our team can thrive,” said Tim Griffin, division manager at the Raleigh office, “We’re excited to be in the heart of the triangle area, which is home to several of our clients and offers proximity to the airport. Plus, Brier Creek is surrounded by a community of restaurants, hotels, and other features which our employees can have the added benefit of exploring.”
The RMF Raleigh office currently serves clients globally, working across multiple markets with a specialty in education and healthcare facilities. Some of the firm’s best-known clients include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).
