Kingsbridge Estates to Breathe New Life Into Chichester Landmark
– Planning Permission for Restaurant in Historic 40 North Street
A
developer Kingsbridge Estates secured planning permission for a
refurbishment.
The development company, owned by local businessman
already in talks with several high quality restaurant operators about
creating a restaurant and offices in the grade II* listed 40 North Street.
North Street is one of
part of the city and we have worked very closely with the planning
authorities at Chichester District Council to provide a sensitive and
attractive refurbishment.

40 North Street, which dates to the 19th Century, was previously owned by
West Sussex County Council. It was purchased by Kingsbridge Estates in
February, with planning permission for change of use from private home to
commercial premises being granted on 1 June.
Kingsbridge Estates has alternative planning permission to use 40 North
Street entirely for offices. Architects for the refurbishment are Miller
