WASHINGTON, July 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Following is the daily "Profile America" feature from the U.S. Census Bureau:
Profile America -- Saturday, July 16th. Few things can stir up so many memories as the sight of an antique car. With the universal impact the automobile has had on American society as a whole and on each of us as individuals, old cars are an automatic trip to the past. Tomorrow, 300 of the finest vintage automobiles will gather on the lush campus of Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon for the 36th annual Concours d'Elegance. Names such as Duesenberg, Bentley, Packard and Pierce- Arrow will vie for the attention of 6,000 onlookers. Proceeds go to fund scholarships and community projects. Nearly 19 million people attend car shows across the nation every year. You can find these and more facts about America from the U.S. Census Bureau, online at www.census.gov.
