Ecuadorian Protests Lift Oil Prices

Worries about Ecuador production helped lift crude oil prices Friday by about $1 per barrel to $64.40.
High-quality crude oil for September delivery rose after protests forced Ecuadorian officials to suspend exports, MarketWatch reported. In London, crude oil rose to $63.36 per barrel.
Gasoline climbed to $1.864 per gallon, and heating oil increased to $1.8299 per gallon.
Natural gas added a few pennies to hit $1.9078 per million Btu.
Besides the Ecuadorian tensions, officials in the Jordanian port of Aqaba said Friday missiles were fired at a U.S. ship. At least one person was killed and another injured, officials said.
