Energy Prices Mixed Ahead of Gas Report

Posted on: Thursday, 29 September 2005, 09:00 CDT

Energy prices were mixed in early electronic trading Thursday, with crude oil and natural gas up but product prices lower.

High-quality crude oil rose 33 cents to $66.68 a barrel, and natural gas added 15 cents to reach $14.25 per million Btu, another record high.

Traders were waiting to see what the U.S. Energy Department was to disclose Thursday regarding natural gas supplies.

Gasoline futures were down 0.4 percent to $2.33 per gallon, and heating oil slipped 0.1 percent to $2.1385 per gallon.
