Ellington Air Cargo Facility Announces Phase One Complete
HOUSTON, Sept. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The Ellington Air Cargo Facility, a property adjacent to the Ellington Air Field, is ready for development, says project director, Mark Briggs.
“The Ellington Air Cargo Facility is the first of its kind in Houston,” says Briggs. “Not only does it offer the lowest cargo tariff in the Houston Airport System, it also affords clients the opportunity to develop a successful build-to-suit project or lease space in the future facility steps from Ellington runways.”
The Ellington Air Cargo Facility is a private development with direct access to the Ellington Airport runway’s northern sector.
The Ellington Cargo facility is opening in five phases. Phase one is 18-acres, directly connected to the northern sector airport runways and is open for development now. Phase two is opening in 2012, includes 20 acres and is planned for a warehousing facility with direct access to airport runways. Phase three will be open in 2013, includes 42 acres and also be a warehousing facility with direct access to Ellington runways. Phase four is currently leased and phase five will be a retail frontage commercial property along Genoa/Red Bluff road available in 2014.
The Ellington Air Cargo Facility is positioned 20 minutes to Hobby Airport, 5 minutes to Ellington runways, 25 minutes to the Grand Parkway, 15 minutes to the Port of Houston, and 5 minutes to Beltway 8, an 88-mile beltway around the City of Houston.
