Amazon Profits Crash 44 Per Cent

=The internet retailer Amazon said last night that its third- quarter profits fell 44 per cent, in large part because of the settlement of a patent-infringement lawsuit. The report, released after the markets closed, stoked concerns about the pace of growth and sent its shares down more than 7 per cent in after-hours trading.
