Crude Oil Price Rises in Europe
Posted on: Friday, 25 November 2005, 12:00 CST
High-quality crude oil rose Friday on London's International Petroleum Exchange by 9.07 percent.
The benchmark Brent blend was up about 2 cents to 55.32 per 42-gallon barrel.
Trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange was closed for the holiday and will reopen Monday.
Winter cold has recently lifted crude oil prices, though a big surplus in the United States of the commodity is expected to limit the upward movement of crude oil's price.
