Crude Oil Slips to $60 Per Barrel

Posted on: Thursday, 15 December 2005, 18:00 CST

Traders at the New York Mercantile Exchange did more selling than buying Thursday to tap down petroleum commodity prices.

High-quality crude for January delivery slipped 85 cents to $60 per barrel, and natural gas was off 88 cents to $13.80 per million Btu.

Meanwhile, gallon prices for gasoline and heating oil were largely unmoved, closing the day, at $1.616 and $1.79, respectively.
